Between The Lines
Between the Lines is built from stacked cubic frames in black walnut. Within the rigid structure, rope and ribbon are stretched into a controlled grid of rust, olive and raw jute tones. The work is driven by tension. The frame sets the limits, the textile moves within them. Light is held rather than exposed. Filtered through layered material, it creates depth instead of brightness. Structure and softness remain in balance. The atmosphere emerges between the lines.
